The Gooseberry Bush

There was once a “unbelieving lady” who lived in the village. She was buried with a gooseberry in her coffin and the promise that if there were a God, a Gooseberry Bush would grow from her tomb. Surely enough, it did!

Passenham is a small village in the civil parish of Old Stratford in Northamptonshire, England.

It is just north of the River Great Ouse, which forms the boundary with Buckinghamshire, and close to (but separated by the river from) Stony Stratford in Milton Keynes.
