Bromborough Park

St. Gabriel’s Well

The author Coxe mentions in ‘Haunted Britain’ that St. Gabriel’s Well is located in Bromborough Park. However, research has yet to reveal such a well named so. We have discovered that there is a St. Patrick’s Well situated in Brotherton Park, off Spital Road, and this is reputed to be the site of St Patrick's landing there in the fifth century. Perhaps these are one of the same.
