Samlesbury Hall was built in 1325 by Gilbert de Southworth and was the home of the Southworth family until the early 17th century. It is now a Grade I listed house and is open to the public.
The building is reputedly haunted by a White Lady, who has become known as 'Sickly Dorothy'. She has been sighted in the house and grounds, as well as on the road outside.
