Woodchester Mansion

Woodchester Mansion

Woodchester Mansion (pictured above) is a stunning Grade I listed house in the Victorian Gothic style. It is reputed to be very haunted, and is now a must-visit on the lists of those who crave ghost-hunting nights out.

Phenomena include apparitions, audible and tactile effects. According to sources, the bodies of American and Canadian troops killed in an accident in training during World War 2 were stored there, and consequently haunt the building. Even if ghosts are not your cup of tea, it is well worth visiting for a closer look at the architecture and to help towards saving such a spectacle.
