Clouds Hill is an isolated cottage and former home of T. E. Lawrence - "Lawrence of Arabia" - and is now run as a museum by the National Trust. People have reported hearing the sounds of his Brough Superior motorcycle approaching the cottage around dawn. His apparition dressed in the Arab dress he was famed for, has been seen there.

The town is situated on the River Frome eight miles southwest of Poole.
