Dundridge Manor

The ghost of Countess Margaret Pole is reputed to walk the grounds of the Manor and surrounding lanes and fields. However, for those familiar with ghost-lore may recognise her name. It was this unfortunate woman who was executed on Tower Green (see the Tower of London) in 1539, in grisly circumstances. The elderly lady tried to flee the scaffold, but was ultimately hacked down by the executioner. This gruesome seen is said to play out on Tower Green on the anniversary of her death.

A young boy described as wearing Victorian era clothing has been seen on the staircase and in the hallway of the Manor itself.
